About the Committee
The Prehealth Advising Committee is charged with the oversight of prehealth education at MIT and the evaluation and advocacy of MIT applicants to health profession schools. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, for the purpose of assessing applicants' readiness and preparation for application to a health profession school; providing evaluation of applicants' academic performance, research involvement, and overall preparedness for a health profession; reviewing, calibrating, and approving committee letters on behalf of the students; and advocating as needed during the application process.
The Prehealth Advising Committee is a Standing Institute Committee that reports to the Chancellor.
