About the Committee
The Everett Moore Baker Memorial Foundation, established in 1959, is administered by a committee of five students who are charged with implementing the ideals and objectives of Everett Moore Baker that included the provision of a dynamic extracurricular program and a congenial physical and intellectual environment at MIT. They identify needs at MIT and undertake projects that will contribute to the fulfilling of these objectives. The Baker Foundation also has a faculty advisor and a staff advisor, who meet with the student committee to act as a resource and provide advice and support.
The Foundation is a Standing Institute Committee that reports to the Chancellor.
